What do I need to know?

Follow the mobility procedures

Follow these steps

  1. Download your arrival certificate, digitally confirmed, at Inforestudante in your incoming application – Documents;
  2. Access Inforestudante and complete all the necessary steps. Check your student number;
  3. Pay for your student insurance (€3,25) at the Treasury service;
  4. Read the Student’s Handbook carefully, section “Arriving at the UAc”;
  5. Your timetable is available here. For further assistance regarding the timetables, please contact your Erasmus Coordinator at UAc.

Student card

Your student card is very important to enter the campus and the student residence.

In Ponta Delgada campus,  you can only buy your meals for the canteen and the laundry tickets for Laranjeiras’ Residence with your student card. 

Your student card will be delivered by the social services upon notification.

While waiting for your student card, you may request a provisional card at the social services – catarina.m.macaroco@uac.pt

Don’t forget to configure your card at the Micro-IO kiosk next to the canteen, using your student credentials, or directly at the Social Services. After that, meals can be also be purchased at: senhaspdl.uac.pt (Ponta Delgada campus students’ only).

Follow the steps below to activate the card through the kiosk located at the entrance to the canteen:

1 – Place your card in the kiosk card reader:

2- Associate your card, by answering yes to the question at the kiosk

3 – Insert your student number, as shown in the image below, and then click confirm:

4 – Finally insert your institutional password and click confirm:

5 – You can now top up the card and purchase the tickets for the cafeteria. If you’re staying at the university residence in Laranjeiras, you may also purchase tickets for the laundry service.

144 rooms with private WC, in 4 buildings, plus one room for special needs students, a couple’s room and a multipurpose facility.

Each building has:

  • a study room and a TV room;
  • equipped kitchens with TV, stove, refrigerator, freezer and microwave oven.

Laundry facilities with washing and dryer machines.

CANTEEN

  • 12.00 PM -02.00 PM
  • Dinner is served as take-away between 12.00 PM and 02.00 PM
  • You can acquire the canteen ticket online or at the MICRO-IO kiosk next to the canteen.
  • First, you must activate and top up your card at the kiosk. You will have to wait some time for your student card. Meanwhile, you may buy a temporary one (€5 refundable) at the Social Services.

To study?

  • The library has limited seats. Get your seat number at the entrance counter
  • Do not take books from the bookshelves. Ask for an assistant

To take books home?

  • Submit your form at the student’s portal in advance indicating the books you need
  • Wait for information on when you can pick it up
  • Pick it up at the entrance counter

To return books?

  • Return it directly to the assistant at the entrance counter
