To become an International Student in Portugal you must apply for a “residence visa” issued by the Portuguese consular authorities in your country of residence. For further information on obtaining a visa, please visit the Portuguese consular gateway and the website Study in Portugal.

Upon arrival, you have three days to report your entry in the country to AIMA – Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum – After that period a tax will be charged. You must also apply for a residence permit at AIMA. Please visit the website.

At the UAc you will be covered by our Student Insurance policy for accidents you may suffer during academic activities, within the school premises, or while traveling in and out of the campus.

The UAc does not offer any kind of health insurance. We strongly advise you to acquire one before traveling.
